Stubby Leas Care Home Introduction
Stubby Leas is registered for 48 residents with a dementia.
Welcome to Stubby Leas
Stubby Leas is set down a leafy lane in the heart of Staffordshire. A former old farmhouse, with lots of thick walls and hidden gems.
Our aim is to provide a professional, caring and sensitive haven at what can be a difficult time. We offer a relaxed, friendly and respectful approach to the care of your loved one in a comfortable, warm, peaceful setting.
The spacious home has several places where residents can sit in private with their relatives, away from the noise and chatter of other people. This includes a café, with a range of drinks, sweets and snacks for sale.
The home is surrounded by huge, rich, landscaped gardens, with seating areas in lots of different place.
We fully appreciate that the prospect of needing to consider a move into a Care Home for either yourself or a member of your family, to whom you may represent, is a huge decision. Indeed, we accept that this may be one of the most difficult and complex processes you may ever need to encounter.
We pride ourselves on providing Quality Care to residents with varying degrees of dependency and dementia care needs. We also care and support a smaller proportion of adults with a challenging behaviour from around the age of 55 and upwards. We consider ourselves experts in understanding the complexities adults with a dementia and their families may face. Our approach is always with compassion and dignity.
We are a nursing home registered for 44 people, catering for people,
• Living with dementia
• Physical disabilities
• Nursing needs
• End of life care
At Stubby Leas we are committed to providing consistent dignified care, delivered by our compassionate team of staff.
We seek to meet the physical needs and frailty of our residents and as their needs change and advance we will meet it with ongoing nursing care, which changes to the needs of the individual.
The Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations (2009) required under part 4(11) that each Care Home to compile a written guide to the Care Home which is referred to in the Regulations as “The Statement of Purpose”. In additional, it would seem only right to inform Users and their prospective relatives or representatives about the home, its aims and its philosophy of care.
This Guide will hopefully answer many of the practical concerns or questions Users may have when making a choice about living in this Care Home.
